Four Areas of Ministry Focus – UMC.org

Too specific? Is it possible to focus on 4 things at once? Can a large institution initiate focus for the whole machine from the top down? If so, how would it go about doing it (i.e. saying so doesn’t make it so)? Are these even the right things to focus on? Comment your thoughts, if you please.

Top down and large institution are the problems in many ways.
i think all four are important but not sure how they can be managed and actually work.
i am not a part of UMC, so these are just my random thoughts!

All four are qualifiers of “making disciples for Jesus Christ,” but because that clause is not a bullet point or one of the four, it becomes lost, even though it is, structurally, the most important clause.
Great point Mike! Maybe if we made disciples we wouldn’t have to list 4 qualifiers? Or perhaps local entities would take care of those things anywho…
