This is well worth reading. Not only is it important and timely (re: last night’s debate), but Dr. Stassen is a man worthy of respect. I did have the opportunity to have a class with him at Fuller, but many friends did and spoke volumes of his integrity and insight. He truly practices what he preaches – he’s part of Pasadena Mennonite Church, rides his bike to work, and challenges students to think about Christian Ethics in a new light.
He’s also the Lewis B. Smedes Professor of Christian Ethics at Fuller, and the co-author of Kingdom Ethics: Following Jesus in Contemporary Context, Christianity Today’s Book of the Year in theology or ethics.
